Before embarking on the project, the previously five-bedroom Edwardian townhouse in Barnes required some tender loving care. Upon our client’s request ND Studios started a comprehensive renovation, one of the bedrooms was reimagined into a spacious master bathroom, while another was seamlessly integrated into an open-plan living area/ bar in the basement. Additionally, we designed a small sunken courtyard off the basement, this required planning permission and proved invaluable in flooding the room with natural light.
The top floor was dedicated to the clients’ grandchildren, with a brief that aimed to create a real-life dollhouse experience for them to enjoy with quirky additions such as the stone shell-shaped sink in the bathroom and colourful patterned wallpaper.
Throughout the project, our client’s dedication to ethically sourced products shone through, with a preference for items crafted by UK artisans and English antiques. Working alongside such skilled craftsmen was truly rewarding.
